In The Glow: Stitchery
Stitchery, industrial felt and mixed media, 40 x 30 x 4 inches, 2024
This sewn wall sculpture features a topographical landscape reminiscent of the subtle folds on a body- highlighted by thousands of accumulated stitches in fluorescent pink thread. The visible evidence of untold hours spent mending or beautifying a body also suggests care, attention, and even obsession.
This piece was featured in my solo exhibit ‘In The Glow’ at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, California from September - December 2024.
