WAve Form
This one-of-a-kind wall-hanging sculpture is made of hand-stitched ‘design felt’ mounted on wooden stretcher bars, like a painting but far more dimensional. The composition blends crisp lines and edges with soft shadows for a sense of movement, white the warm off-white color and visibly textured surface soothes the eye.
Curve Compositions
Curve Compositions are unique wall-hanging sculptures made of hand-stitched ‘industrial felt’ on wooden stretcher bars, for a solid yet soft look. The artworks are both complex and simple in their design, taking advantage of the way flat textile can be joined to look like landscapes.
Light reflects in a subtle way off the fibrous textured surfaces; when hanging on the wall, the range from dark to light across each piece changes with the ambient light. Curves abound, both in the outlines of the formerly flat pieces stitched together, and the resulting forms.
