Teddy Bear Fetus Ursulus parvulus casia 14 x 11 inch Matted Print
Teddy Bear Fetus Ursulus parvulus casia 14 x 11 inch Matted Print
This piece is from my Teddy Unnatural History body of work. To create my teddy bear natural history pieces I start with various breeds and reverse engineer the physical ‘evidence’ of their biological history in needle felted wool, a material perfectly suited to representing fuzzy and soft yet firm and structural bones and tissues of stuffed animals.
This photograph of my wool sculpture ‘Teddy Bear Fetus: Ursulus parvalus casia’ is matted and ready to be placed in an 11x14” standard frame. The photograph is mounted using archival photo corners and the off-white matboard is signed. This image is printed on Kodak Endura Paper, designed to last for generations. Kodak's tested light-keeping is equivalent to 100+ years before noticeable fading occurs in a typical home display, and over 200 years in dark storage.
