Hanging Pods Installation- Stephanie Metz

Twelve unique fiber sculptures hang and gently sway as visitors walk past. Each Hanging Pod is made from wool, the visibly pliable fibers felted tightly and smoothly over underlying forms made of foam rubber, polystyrene, and industrial felt. The two steel hanging structures each measure 6’ x 12’, and extend 9’ tall; the two are installed side by side in the museum pictured, but can be offset or set short-end to short-end or solo to accommodate different spaces.
