The Fully Tactile Art Exhibition is coming to San Francisco this July

This free public exhibition explores the way art can be experienced through touch and sound. Curated by Ian Buchanan, Ben Warner, and Jerry Kuns, this special 5-day event invites you to feel the dance of wood grain of a douglas fir sculpture, run your fingers through the fibers of textiles, let your hands “see” the intricacies of ceramic works, hug your way through a forest of felt, and immerse yourself in the sounds and the emotions of poetry.

Artists include Stephanie Metz, Sadé Cole, Susan Roemer, Justin Kiene, Spike Milliken, and Diane Komater.

Location:  Jettison Creative @ 47 Jeff Adachi Way (see parking suggestions below)

Date and Times: July 24th - July 28th, Wednesday to Friday 3-8pm, Saturday & Sunday 12-4pm

The curators would be happy to organize tours of the event if you have a group or an organization that is interested in experiencing The Fully Tactile Art Exhibition.

This project is realized in part by support from the Zellerbach Foundation, however funds are still being raised to support the artists involved. Individual donors to the project will be invited to an exclusive garden party with the curators and artists at the close of the exhibition at a residence in Noe Valley. For more information and to donate, visit the Flipcause page.

If there is anyone that you know who supports arts and accessibility and would be interested in this project please do not hesitate to share this with them or contact the curators at fully.tactile.art.exhibition@gmail.com
